Description

Viper Heat Blocking Gel RT410S (946 ml) protects timber, plasterboard, insulation, cables and surrounds from heat and flame while you solder or light-braze. Built for HVAC & refrigeration pros, it helps you work faster and cleaner with fewer call-backs—no cowboy stuff, just a bloody good heat shield that stays where you put it and wipes off in seconds.

If you’re sweating lines in a tight ceiling void or near paint, cabinets, or wiring, this is the “no worries” way to keep the job safe and tidy.

Key Features & Trade Benefits

  • Thermal adsorption gel — absorbs and dissipates heat to shield nearby materials and finishes.
  • Stays put — thick consistency clings to vertical surfaces for precise protection in awkward spots.
  • Non-toxic & low odour — suitable for indoor service work and occupied spaces.
  • Quick clean-up — wipes away easily with a rag; no sticky residue, saves pack-up time.
  • 946 ml trade size — enough for multiple installs and service calls across the week.
  • Versatile use — ideal around timber framing, plasterboard, cabinetry, paint, fabric, cable looms and valves.
  • Fewer call-backs — protects finishes and wiring so you don’t get the “you scorched it” phone call later.

Why This Product Matters

Ever been mid-braze on a coil changeover and realise the cabinet edge is closer than you thought? One tech in our network in Brisbane dabbed RT410S along the side panel and timber noggin—job finished clean, paint unmarked, client stoked. Fair dinkum, that’s the difference between a smooth invoice and a painful re-visit.

Pair it with a proper PPE setup and a controlled flame, and you’ll protect the worksite while keeping pace. For ongoing maintenance products, see our Viper HVAC Cleaners collection.

Pro Tip

Lay a continuous 5–8 mm bead of gel between your flame path and any finish you can’t afford to mark. On longer runs, work in sections so the gel stays fresh. For hotter joins or extended heat soak, step up to Viper Heat Blocking Putty RT400P.

Compatibility & Use Cases

  • Suitable for HVAC & refrigeration copper soldering and light brazing near sensitive materials.
  • Use around timber, plasterboard, laminate, paint, fabrics, plastic conduit, cable looms and valve bodies.
  • Ideal for tight indoor jobs in apartments, clinics, shops and offices.

Working roof-side in Sydney summer or in a cramped Brisbane ceiling void? Keep a bottle on the drop sheet—she’ll be right.
